Welina mai (welcome) to our home - Hale Malu. In the Hawaiian language, hale means house or building and malu means shaded, peaceful, quiet, safe, protected. Our home in the Waiakea neighborhood of Hilo offers a retreat filled with peace and quiet.
On the second floor, we offer three bedrooms and two baths, with a wood-burning fireplace (wood provided), and a spacious fully-stocked kitchen with modern amenities. Enjoy the views of Mauna Kea and the Pacific Ocean while lounging on the fully-screened deck.
Your hosts live downstairs on the first floor, ready to help with any questions or concerns. On certain days, we offer drinks and pupus (light fare) in the shared patio downstairs.
Aloha mai!
